Volunteer Student Instructors

Tigard Safety Town is looking for middle school students interested in a great volunteer opportunity.  This July, for a 9 day session, you can help teach 5-6 year olds about safety.  Your responsibility as a student instructor will be to lead a morning and afternoon group of 5 kids through four activity stations.  During the sessions, you will also do skits, help with puppet shows, and help your group listen to speakers.

The hours are 8:15 am through 2:45 pm, Monday through Friday.  Safety Town is held at Mary Woodward Elementary School in Tigard. Please note, students applying must attend a Tigard-Tualatin School District school, or live in a 97223 or 97224 Tigard zip code to be eligible for this opportunity. Students entering 7th, 8th or 9th grade in the Fall only please.
